Guest Post by 11-year-old Tushita: The BFG by Roald Dahl

I am pleased to have S. Tushita Reddy guest post for me today. Tushita has her own blog, JUST READ IT -- Let the Books Grow on You. She can introduce herself:

My name is Tushita, I am 11 years old, studying in grade 6 in
The Aga Khan Academy, India. I've always loved reading
books. My mother and father told me to start doing something
with the books I read. That's why I started writing this blog.
I always like writing in it when I am in a cheery mode.

 The BFG  by Roald Dahl
BFG, shortform for Big Friendly Giant is a very helpful giant who saved the people around the world from being eaten by bad giants. The manner in which he speaks is very funny. For example, "I is making suction boots and going upside, downside and my sister come and says 'you come down at once!' and i is says' i told you that you drive me up wall and now you done it'." :-)

Here is a poem I wrote based on one of the chapters of the book:
MILLION DREAMS ON THE SHELVES,
WHAT THEY ARE WE DON’T KNOW OURSELVES.
CATCH A DREAM WITH A NET,
MANY TYPES YOU GET.

IN GO DIFFERENT DREAMS IN A BOTTLE,
NOW MIX THEM IN FULL THROTTLE.
BLOW THE DREAM IN A MIND,
AND THEY THEMSELVES BIND.

Thank you, Tushita!

Please visit Tushita's blog to read more of her reviews.
